Kinematics basic profiles supported:

Synthesis of the follower kinematics can be made by joining any of the basic profiles together.
Output from the kinematics computation:
- Printed output from the kinematics computation. Displacement, velocity, acceleration and jerk or pulse.
- Plots of the output. Up to four parameters may be overlaid on one graph.
- CAD transfer of the graphic output from the kinematics.

Output from the geometry/dynamics computation:
- Pressure angle
- Contact stress
- Torque or force to move the cam.
- Cam surface coordinates in cartesian and cylindrical coordinates.
- Follower loading and mean speed so the follower may be selected accurately.
- Printed output of all the computed parameters.
- Graphic output includes graphs of any of the computed parameters.
- Drawing of the cam surface with the ability to place the drawing of the followers on the cam as well as many other drawing items.
- CAD transfer using CADL and IGES 4.0 translators. The Windows version will also support DXF and Metafile transfer. All graphics including the kinematics and geometry graphs go across the translator WYSIWYG.
Fabrication output:
- Cutter coordinates are computed and can be printed. These coordinates are exactly to the center of the cutter with no cutter compensation necessary.
- An optional post processor allows generation of G codes for direct loading to any CNC machine.
Other features:
- Forces and masses may be modeled where they apply to the cam motion. Spring forces, masses, constant loads, effects due to gravity, and even loads and forces from the operation of the cam can be modeled accurately. This feature allows accurate computation of the stress on the cam surface and torque or force to move the cam.
- An optional utility called TorqueAdder allows for quick addition of the torque of multiple cams on one shaft.
- Spreadsheet export of the computed output is available in the DOS version. The Windows version will allow both export of the computed output and import of kinematic motions and other data.
